Hi! I’m Melissa, a stay-at-home and homeschooling mama of two rambunctious little guys. I worked as a school psychologist before deciding to stay home with my boys. When I’m not mom-ing or blogging, I work as a Merchandiser for Chloe & Isabel.
I share fashion and styling tips as well as affordable fashion and beauty product finds with my readers. I feature items priced under $100 and items that are suitable for mothers of young children. I want to help fellow mamas look fashionable while wearing clothing that is both affordable and practical. My favorite stores include Ann Taylor Loft, Lands’ End, Banana Republic (Factory), Macy’s, Nordstrom, Eddie Bauer, and Target. I like to pair classic pieces with seasonally on-trend items and accessories. I believe in buying the highest quality items I can afford rather than buying cheaper pieces that will not last long or fit well. This means I have fewer pieces in my closet, so I am very selective when purchasing new items for my wardrobe. I purchase items such sweaters, jeans, and outwear from stores with higher quality and then mix in pieces from stores offering more affordable choices. I’m on a mission to prove you can look great without breaking the bank!
I occasionally share budget-friendly home decor items with my readers. Providing a comfortable and aesthetically pleasing home for my family is very important to me, and I want to help others do the same. I love the show Fixer Upper and Joanna’s industrial/farmhouse chic designs. I gain inspiration from watching the show and try to share budget-friendly products that allow readers to add a touch of Joanna’s style to their homes.
